November 11th, 2013 - Day 3 - Recuperation day, fairly uneventful...

I was going to go to Yoga in the morning but I was a little concerned about Ryan being dehydrated because he was up so many times through the night sick.  He felt a little better in the morning after sipping some water and having a banana.
We headed back downtown to meet up with a guy named Perry to take a look at his van.  Not bad,  it's a 1992 Toyota Estima.  Doesn't come with any camping gear but apparently it seems to be cheap enough to buy (according to Perry, about $80) and the other vans that are already equipped with camping gear are almost $1000 more than this one.  The van seemed decent enough, no rust, 2 sun roofs, complete  with playboy bunny seat covers...but we needed to think about it and wait to see if we hear back from any of the other numbers we called.
Ryan's friend Alain (from Vancouver) arrived from Argentina this morning and we met him for lunch and at a Korean restaurant for some bibimbap.   It was served cold... Odd.
We then tried to set up a NZ bank account but were denied because we don't have a current address yet.  :(

Ryan started feeling bad again so we went back to the hotel to relax where he fell asleep for a much needed 3 hours while I continued writing but not publishing to, my blog... I'm experiencing a fear of posting hence the delay in posting. Lol.

Ryan seems to have gotten a little bit of his appetite back after the nap and we were craving pizza.  Found a place called Non Sol Pizza which was walking distance in Parnell, about a 20 minute walk.  It was quite a beautiful atmosphere, very European but they sat us in a corner which wasn't bad accept they clearly hadn't dusted in a while and I put my arm into what I think was an old spider web!   BLECH!!!  The spider itself was very frail so I'm assuming it was dead.  I just moved about a foot away from the wall and was sure to keep my eye on the spider in the event it decided to awaken itself and attack!  I didn't have a Super Sucker Machine on hand.  (aka a vaccuum)  Ahem...Moving on...   We had the insalada mista which was fantastic with the creamiest feta cheese and olives.  We also split the Marguerita pizza.  It had potential but it was no Nicli Antica Pizzeria like we have back in Gastown.. ;)
The little town of Parnell is quite a cute area.  Very quaint with little boutique stores, shops and cafes.  Made a note to come back in the daytime.
Back home to watch some boob tube and saw the movie Immortals.

Sorry, no pictures today.  :(
